Abraham White

Communications Associate

Abraham White is the Communications Associate for Campus Progress. He got his start in politics working on Sen. Barbara Boxer’s (D-CA) 2010 re-election campaign in Los Angeles. Fresh off that victory, he came to Washington for a brief stint at EMILY’s List before returning to the campaign trail to work with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on their “get out the vote” effort for Congresswoman Kathy Hochul’s (D-NY) campaign. In the fall of 2011, he completed a press internship with Sen. Charles Schumer’s (D-NY) Washington, D.C., office tracking news coverage, writing releases, and drafting talking points.

Abraham is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, where he studied economics. While in college, Abraham lobbied at the state and national levels for increased higher education funding and worked at the local level with the California Public Interest Research Group on their Campus Climate Challenge campaign. In his free time Abraham enjoys hiking, cooking, and lively conversation.
