Mollie Zapata

Assistant Manager, Satellite Sentinel Project

Mollie Zapata is the Assistant Manager of the Satellite Sentinel Project for the Enough Project at American Progress. Prior to joining Enough, Mollie worked at National Geographic Television as the series/science/nature department coordinator.

She studied abroad in Niger, and worked for Rencontre et Action, a microfinance organization that provides lending and savings bank services to impoverished women.

In addition to Enough, Mollie volunteers through the Refugee Assistance Program in Washington, D.C. to help assimilate Congolese refugees resettling in the United States.

Mollie graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with a degree in international relations, speaks French, and is learning Swahili.
