ENOUGH Project Internship

ENOUGH is a project founded by the International Crisis Group and the Center for American Progress to end genocide and crimes against humanity. Using a three-pronged strategy of field analysis, high-level advocacy and grassroots constituency-building, ENOUGH is working to resolve the ongoing crises in Darfur, eastern Congo, and northern Uganda, and to prevent other mass atrocities from unfolding.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Research on core conflict issues in the regions relevant to ENOUGH programs at the time;
  • Provide assistance editing reports on conflict issues and other documents produced by ENOUGH staff;
  • Prepare advocacy materials and attend meetings with or on behalf of ENOUGH staff;
  • Maintain contact with governments, academic institutes, think-tanks, and NGOs;
  • Assist ENOUGH staff with everyday office needs.

Requirements:
  • Education background in political science, conflict studies, public administration, Africa studies or similar;
  • An excellent verbal and written command of English;
  • Knowledge of the region and conflict issues;
  • Professional office experience;
  • Experience in an international relations environment/ NGO is highly desirable.
Every internship includes an important core of administrative work, including database management, report distribution and general office support. Other duties include conducting targeted research, attending meetings, seminars, hearings and lectures, and engaging with the NGO community.
