ENOUGH Project Internship
ENOUGH is a project founded by the International Crisis Group and the Center for American Progress to end genocide and crimes against humanity. Using a three-pronged strategy of field analysis, high-level advocacy and grassroots constituency-building, ENOUGH is working to resolve the ongoing crises in Darfur, eastern Congo, and northern Uganda, and to prevent other mass atrocities from unfolding.
Major responsibilities include:
- Research on core conflict issues in the regions relevant to ENOUGH programs at the time;
- Provide assistance editing reports on conflict issues and other documents produced by ENOUGH staff;
- Prepare advocacy materials and attend meetings with or on behalf of ENOUGH staff;
- Maintain contact with governments, academic institutes, think-tanks, and NGOs;
- Assist ENOUGH staff with everyday office needs.
Requirements:
- Education background in political science, conflict studies, public administration, Africa studies or similar;
- An excellent verbal and written command of English;
- Knowledge of the region and conflict issues;
- Professional office experience;
- Experience in an international relations environment/ NGO is highly desirable.
