Current Job Openings

Assistant to U.S. Editor, Middle East Bulletin and Assistant to Advisors/Senior Fellows

Middle East Progress is a project of the Center for American Progress.

Middle East Progress helps develop and highlight practical approaches toward a comprehensive U.S. approach in the Middle East, with a primary focus on resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict. We believe such action will improve U.S., Israeli, and regional security, and America’s global standing, and reflects the will and aspirations of a vast majority of Israelis and Arabs living the conflict every day.

Middle East Progress focuses its efforts in three areas:

(1) Publishing the Middle East Bulletin—produced three times a week, The Bulletin includes a news digest from journalists covering the region, analyses from Middle East experts and organizations, reports from events in the region and in the United States, and original commentary

(2) Promoting public-private partnerships—Middle East Progress leads the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) task force to create a political risk insurance fund intended to help remove obstacles to investment and trade in the Palestinian territories and participates actively in the Middle East Investment Initiative (MEII), an independent effort to create financial instruments such as a $160 million loan guarantee facility that has increased Palestinian business’ access to financing, technical assistance, and market information needed to grow, create jobs, and improve and create production capacity

(3) Encouraging new ideas and strategies—MEP brings together from around the world and across the country those who can most effectively shape the policy dynamic on security and economic issues by hosting meetings, panels, and conferences to discuss ideas, create new approaches, and strategize on how best to implement them within and across borders.
