Outreach Systems Coordinator
Reports to: Associate Director of CRM and Outreach Systems

Summary:
American Progress is seeking an Outreach Systems Coordinator, who will serve as the primary liaison for users of the current CRM and email outreach systems, resolving both technical and functional issues. S/he will be responsible for ongoing development of tailored, targeted uses for the CRM and outreach systems, and guiding users across the organization through those systems.
The ideal candidate will have a track record in supporting and training users of CRM and email marketing systems. The position is part of the External Affairs Department, which handles outreach to elected officials, national, state, and local advocates, other policy organizations and think tanks, and others.
Under the direction of the Associate Director for CRM and Outreach Systems, this position will work closely with the other departments who are or who will be using the outreach systems deployed at the Center.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Train new end users on the application and train existing users on new features
- Stay abreast of CRM and Salesforce.com best practices applicable to our industry
- Document processes and create documents to communicate processes
- Produce high quality written and digital media training materials for current outreach systems
- Participate in cross-functional teams that address strategic business issues involving CRM operations
- Document requirements and specifications for system implementation, enhancements, and develop consensus for those enhancements
- Drive adoption of approved and implemented enhancements throughout the organization and ensures compliance with the system
- Resolve technical and functional issues with the Associate Director of CRM
- Manage data loads and data quality
- Create reports and dashboards for the management team
- Maintain user roles, security, profiles, workflow rules, and other system configuration options
Required Skills/Experience:
- Two or more years supporting a CRM system
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated analysis, problem solving and skills, troubleshooting expertise
- Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
- Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Experience producing and delivering training materials
- Understanding of non-profit organizations a plus
- Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
- Self-starter and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with progressive public policy
