Special Assistant for Energy and Environmental Policy

Summary
The Center for American Progress has an immediate opening for a Special Assistant for the energy and environmental policy team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide administrative support (including scheduling) to senior staff.
- Assist in the coordination and planning of meetings and events.
- Provide research assistance to senior staff.
- Support the production process for reports and other projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent writing, research, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to multitask.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in environmental studies, political science, economics, or a related field.
- Nonprofit, both 501(c) (3) and 501(c) (4) organizations, and think tank experience a plus.
- Commitment to the Center’s mission and goals.
