Noreen Nielsen

Energy Communications Director

Noreen Nielsen is the Energy Communications Director for Progressive Media at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress she served as the deputy communications director at the Change to Win labor coalition. Nielsen began her work in political communications in 2003 working with Grassroots Solutions. She went on to become deputy director of communications for America Coming Together-New Hampshire. In 2005 she served as communications director for Democracy for America. She also did communications work for the Apollo Alliance and Campaign for America’s Future.

Nielsen earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
