Isabel Owen
Education Policy Analyst
Isabel Owen is an Education Policy Analyst at American Progress. Her work focuses on using expanded learning time as a school improvement strategy. Prior to joining American Progress, Isabel worked as legal assistant to Gov. Jim Doyle of Wisconsin. As a legal assistant in the governor’s office, Isabel managed a wide range of duties including legal and archival research, drafting executive orders on behalf of the governor, and administering Wisconsin’s extradition and pardon processes.
Isabel holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is a native of Newton, Massachusetts and Oxford, England.
