President Barack Obama and Defense Secretary Robert Gates have proposed a responsible Defense Department budget that makes tough choices and reflects our real national security priorities. This is an important first step toward our goal of crafting a sensible defense budget that reflects real national security priorities.

Contact Congress
- Send an email to Congress

- Set up an appointment at a local office (Click on the link, enter your ZIP or address, next select your Member, next click on "contact" tab to find the local address and phone number. Members will be back in their districts for recess May 25-29.)
Contact the press
- Give interviews to local and national media
- Write letter to the editor or an op-ed
- Write a blog post
Spread the Word
- Speak to your local business community (Rotary, Kiwanis, etc.)
- Email your friends, acquaintances, and business contacts
- Use Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to spread the word
