Gebe Martinez
Gebe Martinez is a political columnist and contributor to The Politico, in Washington, D.C.
Throughout her 32-year journalism career, her reporting assignments have focused on government and politics. She has reported from Washington, D.C. since 1994, for newspapers including the Los Angeles Times, as well as Congressional Quarterly weekly magazine.
Martinez has been a frequent guest on radio and television public affairs programs including “Washington Week” on PBS. She also lectures on the workings of Congress.
Born in Del Rio, Texas, Martinez graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976 with a degree in journalism.
