Congressman Mickey Edwards
Mickey Edwards represented Oklahoma City in Congress for 16 years, serving as a member of the House Budget and Appropriations Committees and as a senior member of the House Republican Leadership. After leaving Congress, he taught at Harvard's Kennedy School of government for eleven years before moving on to teach at Princeton, where he is now with the program on law and public affairs. Congressman Edwards has also taught at Harvard Law School, Georgetown, George Washington University, and the University of Maryland. He has been a columnist for the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and other major newspapers and a weekly commentator on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered." He is the author of Reclaiming Conservatism, from Oxford University Press, and is currently writing another book on American politics. He is now a Vice President of the Aspen Institute, where he directs a program on political leadership.
