Sara Abdel Rahim is the director for Foundation Relations at American Progress. She was formerly an associate director of Development at Georgetown University Law Center, where she fundraised in support of the Law Center’s strategic initiatives, clinics, and institutes with a focus on deepening alumni engagement domestically and internationally. Abdel Rahim previously worked at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy in various roles, including director of development and projects, development and projects manager, and research associate, where she worked diligently to support projects, raised funds, and expanded partnerships in the United States, Europe, and Middle East.

Abdel Rahim holds a master’s in Near and Middle Eastern studies with a focus on gender in the Middle East from the School of Oriental and African Studies , University of London, and a bachelor’s in international studies and anthropology from Johns Hopkins University.
