Brittney Souza is a senior advocacy associate for Generation Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Souza was the co-founder of J Street U Chapman and the Olive Tree Initiative at Chapman University, two organizations that address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. With the Olive Tree Initiative, she traveled to Jordan, Israel, and the West Bank to study conflict analysis and management through experiential learning. Souza was also the interfaith council president at Chapman University, where she led a council of 17 religious and spiritual organizations. She currently holds a dual bachelor’s degree in peace studies and political science with an emphasis in religious studies from Chapman University.
