Adam Stromme is the administrative coordinator at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, he was involved in state politics as a researcher for Minnesota state Sen. Jim Carlson (D). He recently graduated with a Master of Arts with honors in economics and international relations from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Stromme was a recipient of the 2018 Global Challenges Project Award for his research on media misinformation campaigns, and from 2018 to 2020, he liaised with the Global Alliance for Partnerships on Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL) of the United Nations to implement a proposal to curb the spread of misinformation online. He is also the recipient of the 2019 Bertrand Russell Society Student Award and was voted the secretary of the society in 2020.
