Madeline Twomey is the research assistant for Health Policy at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Twomey interned with AARP’s campaigns department, where she conducted research on Medicare and Medicaid. After returning to her hometown of Portland, Maine, she continued her work for AARP, assisting with outreach efforts against attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act. In the spring of 2017, Twomey graduated from the George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
