Winners and Losers in Trump’s America – A Look at the Budget and Trumpcare

Center for American Progress Action Fund
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM EDT

President Donald Trump campaigned on a promise of revitalizing rural and small-town communities and leading a so-called worker’s party. Yet this week, the House is considering a bill that would kick 24 million people off their health coverage and exacerbate the opioid crisis to pay for tax cuts for millionaires. And the president’s budget, released last week, takes aim at the very communities that swept him to power. From cuts to the manufacturing innovation and workforce training investments that rebuild hard-hit small towns to cuts that gut rural housing and Meals on Wheels, the president’s budget proposal would fall hardest on his own supporters. Join the Center for American Progress Action Fund as for a discussion analyzing Trump’s policies and budget and their implications for workers, health care, and rural America.
