Throughout our nation’s history, Latinas have been a voice at the forefront of ensuring equality for all Americans. Despite the challenges our nation faces, Latinas represent a growing economic and political force that is thriving and optimistic about this country’s future. For more than a year, the Trump administration has sought to undermine American democracy and strip protections and opportunities from communities that are often taken for granted. In response, Latinas are leading activist movements, running for public office, and speaking out against injustices across the nation. They are defending immigrant rights, reproductive rights, and environmental justice. From Puerto Rico to Texas to Washington, D.C., they are leveraging their power to move this country forward.
