Mara Pellittieri is the editor-in-chief of TalkPoverty at American Progress. Before joining American Progress, Pellittieri worked on the digital team of the Legal Services Corporation, where she wrote web content and managed the organization’s digital analytics. Pellittieri began her career as a teacher in the Montgomery County Public Schools.

Pellittieri earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.
