Washington, D.C. — On Friday, November 14, the Center for American Progress Action Fund will host an event analyzing the impact of the 2014 midterm election on the issues that are important to progressives and the emerging majority. Across two panel sessions, experts will discuss the implications of the results and look forward to 2016.
The first panel discussion, “The Impact of Judicial Decisions on the Midterm Elections,” will focus on how federal court decisions have inevitably affected voter experiences leading up to and on Election Day. Consequently, these actions will direct the political landscape for progressives and, in turn, will impact the issues progressives care about moving forward. The second panel discussion, “Voters of Color in the 2014 Midterms and the Map in 2016,” will focus on the nation’s demographic shifts and the challenges of growing the civic engagement among voters of color in 2016 and beyond.
