182 members of the U.S. House and Senate continue to deny the science behind climate change
Washington D.C. — On Tuesday, March 8, U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) will join Florida leaders, Mayor Cindy Lerner and Pam Rivera from Voces Verdes, Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund, in a press call to discuss a new Center for American Progress Action Fund analysis on 2016’s climate deniers. With 2015 being the hottest year on record, the analysis will look in-depth at congressional climate denial in an updated version of “The 2015 Anti-Science Climate Denier Caucus: 114th Congress Edition.”
The call will feature leaders who have witnessed the direct impact that climate deniers’ inaction has had on vulnerable and low-income communities and detail how states, such as Florida, are preparing for yet another year of sea-level rise and extreme weather.
