ADVISORY: A Progressive Agenda to Cut Poverty and Expand Opportunity

Washington, D.C. — On Tuesday, June 7, the Center for American Progress Action Fund will host a discussion on policies to cut poverty and expand opportunity in the United States. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) will deliver keynote remarks and discuss efforts to make the tax code work better for working families. A panel with Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD), Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI), and Center for American Progress Action Fund President and CEO Neera Tanden will follow.

As House Republicans prepare to release their own poverty agenda, this event will outline ways to build an economy that works for everyone, rather than just the wealthy few. The conversation will address CAP’s forthcoming report to dramatically reduce poverty and promote economic mobility.

A live stream will be available at this link, and you can follow along the conversation with #TalkPoverty.
