Washington, D.C. — Tomorrow, President Donald Trump will travel to Milwaukee, where he will tour Derco Aerospace Inc. and deliver remarks on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) 2.0, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA)—part of his erratic trade policy that is bankrupting farmers, increasing the costs on staples for working families, and includes massive giveaways to pharmaceutical companies. During the 2016 campaign, Trump visited Wisconsin many times, where he promised families that he would reinvigorate the farming economy, improve health care, and raise taxes and wages. Reality:
- The USMCA locks in high drug prices, meaning “‘Big Pharma’ is the big winner” of NAFTA 2.0
- 2.4 million Wisconsinites with preexisting conditions will lose protections under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) repeal.
- 153,000 Wisconsinites will lose their health coverage under ACA repeal.
- $4,600 is the annual premium increase for the average Wisconsin family.

Reality:
- Shopko announced it would lay off 1,700 Wisconsin workers—100 of which are in Green Bay—on March 28, 2019.
- In January 2019, Kimberly-Clark Corp. laid off 74 employees in Wisconsin; 400 jobs were saved after state bailout.
- In April 2019, Foxconn pulled out of President Trump’s deal to bring 13,000 jobs to Wisconsin after the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the president.

Reality:
- The Trump administration has taken away safeguards that ensure workers are paid overtime, protect retirees from exploitative financial advisers, and ensure that people pay less at the gas pump.
- $19 million is the amount of lost overtime wages.
- $449 million is the amount of lost retirement savings.
- $427 million is the amount lost at the gas pump.

Reality:
- 126,120 Wisconsin families paid more in taxes last year due to Trump’s tax scam.
- The average tax cut for the wealthiest 1 percent in Wisconsin was $53,430.
