Tina Tang is a senior director on the Digital Advocacy team at American Progress. At American Progress, she has built a message testing and narrative development infrastructure that has informed key narratives across a rapidly changing digital landscape. She joined American Progress with nearly a decade of experience in electoral and advocacy campaigns and nonprofits.
Tang is also the co-founder of Debtless, a nonprofit focused on solutions to the predatory lending industry through debt cancellation and financial education.
A first-generation Chinese American immigrant, fighting for progressive policies is not only a passion but a part of her identity. Tang holds a B.S. in neuroscience from New York University and conducted Alzheimer’s research before making the pivot to progressive advocacy. When needing a moment away from the always-breaking news cycle, Tang can be found walking her black lab or at Disney World.
