Ciel Smith is a legal assistant at American Progress. Smith grew up in a small, rural town and is proud of her background, but also loves living in Washington, D.C. She is a big fan of animals (especially cats), music, and reading. On the weekends, Smith loves to go solo hiking and looks forward to trying solo camping soon.
