Tonight, Democrats maximized their big tent strategy to break the MAGA stronghold on our country. This election is the beginning of the end of America’s decade-long Trump nightmare. Tuesday’s victories are a testament to the many people who worked tirelessly over the past two years to elect new Democratic state legislatures, governors, and a House majority. But particular credit goes to Leader Schumer, who recruited candidates in Senate battlegrounds who were able to do what many said was impossible just a few months ago—secure a Democratic Senate majority. Even as Democrats celebrate, tonight is also the start of a new fight. While the party earned back the votes of many people it lost in 2024, over the next two years, Democrats will need to work each and every day to keep the support of these voters by focusing on costs and corruption. The path to the presidency, and even a supermajority in Congress, will be forged by leaders who put the American people first and are champions of working and middle-class Americans.
