Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) claims he is worried about the American dream becoming “out of reach” for too many families and that he vows to fight for the “men and women who every day go to work and work hard” and are the “bread and butter” of what makes Wisconsin work.
But when words are turned into action, he’s stood on the side of the wealthy few instead of middle-class families. He gave tax breaks that disproportionally favored the top 1 percent but cut $56 million in tax credits for working families. At the same time, he opposed raising the minimum wage and waged an attack on unions, passing right-to-work legislation in Wisconsin. And it’s middle-class families in Wisconsin bearing the brunt of his actions.
