ADVISORY: In Philadelphia, CAP Action to Co-Host Event Featuring Madeleine Albright and Other Distinguished National Security Experts

Philadelphia, P.A. — On Wednesday July 27, 2016, the Center for American Progress Action Fund and its new initiative, the National Security Leadership Alliance, will co-host an event with the University of Pennsylvania’s Perry World House, Third Way, and the Truman National Security Project on key national security policy challenges that face the new White House administration. The event will begin with topics of discussion, followed by a more in-depth Q&A and a short reception.

The stakes of this election for American national security are high, and the next president must be equipped to respond to a series of challenges from across the globe. This event will explore the national security challenges to be faced by the next administration, from the threat of the Islamic State to a resurgent Russia, an emerging China, and a transforming Europe. The United States’ success on the world stage will depend on responsible and decisive leadership to help grow and foster peace, security, and stability around the world.
