Washington, D.C.— On Tuesday, July 31, former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland will join the Center for American Progress Action Fund to kick off Romney University, a series of events and paper releases aimed at providing influential policy and opinion makers with all they need to know about Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s policy proposals.

The day’s first panel, "Romneynomics: The Costs of a Romney Presidency," will follow Gov. Strickland’s introductory keynote address and analyze Gov. Romney’s tax and budget positions and the true implications of outsourcing. The conversation will feature CAP Action staff and prominent outside experts and will focus on the ways a Romney presidency would disproportionately impact America’s working families and those hit hardest by the economic downturn, including young people, women, and workers of color.

The rest of the half-day event will include discussions on the anatomy of Romneycare, women’s health and economic wellness under a President Romney, and the real impact of Romney’s foreign policy agenda.
