It’s bad enough that the Trump administration would hurt people with preexisting conditions, but that’s not all:
- Coverage losses: If the Trump administration succeeds in repealing the Affordable Care Act, 20 million people will lose their health coverage completely.
- Premium increases: Health coverage is already getting more expensive because of the Trump administration’s ACA sabotage. Premiums for the average family have increased by $3,110 so far, and it will only get worse.
- Drug prices: People are dying in the U.S. because they can’t afford outrageously expensive prescription drugs. Instead of keeping his promise to lower drug costs, Trump’s administration gave pharmaceutical companies a massive tax cut and then idly stood by as they hiked prices of life-saving medications like insulin.
