Help Is Here Roundup: Federal, State, and Local Officials Continue to Tout American Rescue Plan as…

Federal, State, and Local officials from across the country continue to see benefits from the American Rescue Plan for their constituents months after its passage.

This week, lawmakers touted an analysis by Columbia University which found that the Child Tax Credit lifted 3 million kids from poverty in July, representing a 25% cut in the child poverty rate. Meanwhile, state and local governments continue to use ARP funding to revitalize their communities. States such as Missouri and West Virginia are using stimulus funds to expand access to wireless broadband, while communities like the Choctaw Nation and other tribes are using ARP money to fund universal basic income programs providing members up to $2000 in relief.
