Julie Bowen is the deputy general counsel at American Progress. Previously, she spent almost 20 years at the MITRE Corporation, a nonprofit organization that runs federally funded research and development centers supporting virtually all agencies of the U.S. Government. She was senior vice president and chief legal officer, and held various other positions during her tenure, including operations, government relations, ethics and compliance, enterprise risk, and corporate secretary.
Bowen also serves on the boards of the International SPY Museum, Boulder Crest Foundation, and World Central Kitchen. She is a native of Annapolis and a graduate of The Catholic University and the The Catholic University School of Law.
