Build Back Better Support and Opposition: A Running List

President Biden’s Build Back Better Agenda is a historic proposal that centers women, addresses the climate crisis head on, cuts taxes for the vast majority of Americans and lowers costs for working families that’s paid for by making the wealthiest few & big corporations pay their fair share. It would be the biggest investment in the American economy and the American people, in decades and enjoys widespread public support. The proposal’s primary opponents are special interest groups that represent drugmakers, the oil and gas industry, and large corporations. The pharmaceutical industry and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce alone have spent a combined $45 million to lobby against the bill.
