Help Is Here Roundup: American Rescue Plan Continues to Fund Key Programs and Relief for…

Federal, State, and Local Officials across the country continue to praise the American Rescue Plan (ARP) for providing critical relief for their communities.

This week, lawmakers praised the rollout of the Federal Communications Commission’s Emergency Connectivity Fund established under the ARP that will provide support to schools and libraries to help them meet the off-campus connectivity needs of students in areas where commercial broadband is unavailable. Lawmakers also continued to thank the ARP for funding the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) $8 billion award to U.S airports across the country to keep workers employed, construction projects going, and help U.S. airports recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the EPA also announced $50 Million of ARP funds going towards environmental justice initiatives.

With the arrival of July, officials also touted the transformative Child Tax Credit would be distributed to families on July 15th, setting the stage to reduce child poverty in America in half this year.

See more examples below of how the American Rescue Plan continues to provide critical relief across the country:
