Help Is Here Roundup: Federal, State, and Local Officials Continue Touting American Rescue Plan…

Federal State and Local Officials continue to praise the provisions in the American Rescue Plan that are providing relief for their communities. Last week, the Biden administration announced it would commit $4.8 billion in ARP funding to ensure that approximately 29 million uninsured U.S. residents have access to COVID-19 testing. The US Department of Agriculture also announced the same week that it would start loan forgiveness for thousands of minority and disadvantaged farmers starting in early June as part of a program established under the American Rescue Plan. Additionally, the administration started distributing $200 million in funds to support victims of domestic abuse who have faced greater hardships and danger while sheltering at home during the pandemic.
