Federal, State, and Local officials across the country continue to see benefits from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) as it provides critical relief for their communities.
This week, the IRS deposited its first round of Child Tax Credits funded by the American Rescue Plan into families’ bank accounts. Officials praised the CTC with many noting the millions of their constituents who would benefit as it puts America on the path to reducing child poverty by half.
But benefits from the ARP don’t stop at the CTC, as this week the Health and Human Services Department announced that $398 Million in ARP funds would be going to small rural hospitals for COVID-19 testing and mitigation. Additionally, schools across the country are using over $129 million to prepare to re-open safely this fall and provide relief to students.
