Help Is Here Roundup: State and Local Communities Continue to See Benefits from the American Rescue…
Article

States, cities, and communities from across the country are continuing to reap benefits from President Biden’s American Rescue Plan (ARP), more than six months after its passage in Congress.

Last week, lawmakers praised the fourth round of Child Tax Credit payments, with the IRS distributing nearly $15 billion in funds from the ARP. Additionally, the Biden administration announced it is planning to invest $100 million in ARP funds to address the health care worker shortage, by helping place primary care doctors in communities that need them.

Meanwhile, states across the country continue to use ARP funding to Build Back Better. North Carolina, for example, is investing $800 million from ARP funds in Child Care Centers struggling to stay open during the pandemic. In Indiana, the state is allocating ARP funds to renovate 27 parks that are all 25 years or older on average, while in California, the city of Salinas is using $12 million from ARP funds to build affordable housing and tackle homelessness.

See more examples below of how the American Rescue Plan continues to benefit communities across the nation:
