Today, the House is holding a historic day of debate—and is expected to vote—on two articles of impeachment charging President Donald Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The facts couldn’t be more clear: President Trump bribed a foreign leader to interfere in the 2020 election for his own political gain—then tried to cover it up. He must be held accountable.
Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani; White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney (before trying to walk it back); and Trump himself have all openly admitted to the bribery scheme on live TV. In fact, all of the witnesses that testified before the House have corroborated the factual evidence of his impeachable offenses.

Today on the House floor, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the actions by President Trump “gave us no choice” but to move forward with impeachment. Now, congressional Republicans must decide whether they will honor their duty to the Constitution and defend our democracy—or whether they will cower behind political posturing.
Last night, you took to the streets to hold Trump accountable
Even though the president’s defenders in Congress have refused to hold Trump accountable for his impeachable offenses, you made it clear that the American people will.
Last night and today, thousands of Americans across all 50 states and D.C. took to the streets at more than 600 events to send Congress the message that nobody is above the law—not even the president.
Thanks to you, House Democrats are one step closer to holding President Trump accountable for his abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
