Small-business owner Maria Drews shares how tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act are helping clean energy businesses such as hers to grow, in addition to saving households money as they switch to solar energy.

Six years ago, I left my job as a hospital chaplain in Madison to work full-time at my husband’s growing independent solar business, Drews Solar. Now Michael and I co-own the business and are continuing to expand its reach to meet the increasing solar needs of Madison residents.

Much of our company’s important work is made possible by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), an important piece of legislation whose benefits are helping our community make the switch to renewable energy.
