Support ENDA

Write your representative to end workplace discrimination by telling Congress you support the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA/H.R. 3685) and the Baldwin Amendment.

Long Overdue: An End to Workplace Discrimination

We have a chance this week to show how much we really care about fairness and equality. We have a chance to show that we really believe discrimination is wrong, not just by saying it is wrong, but by passing a law that commits us to living this belief.

Congress will vote this Wednesday on a bill that protects employees from workplace discrimination regardless of their sexual orientation. And you can make a difference in that vote by writing your representative, today.

It is simply wrong to use sexual orientation to judge a person’s value at work. Don’t you agree that it is the quality of our work that matters? We should never judge someone’s ability on the job on who they love, who they live with, or who they care for.  Let’s face it, love, life, and caring are positive values. To use them as a basis for not hiring someone, or firing them, or denying them promotions is just not right. We know we are better than that.

Congress needs to hear from you—now—that you support the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (H.R. 3685). AND Congress needs to know that you also support Rep. Tammy Baldwin’s (D-WI) amendment to include gender identity in the bill on the House floor.
