On Tax Day, voters are taking to the streets to demand that President Trump release his tax returns and commit to a fair tax system for the American people at the Tax March. Trump may not be here to see the main march in Washington, D.C., since he’s taking his 7th trip (out of 13 weekends as president) to Mar-a-Lago, but hopefully he catches one of the 200 local marches happening across the country.

Voters are marching to demand transparency from President Trump. He repeatedly told voters during the campaign that he would release his tax returns, yet he has yet to do so—breaking with 40 years of precedent of presidents releasing their tax returns. Without seeing Trump’s tax returns, we don’t know the extent of Trump’s financial entanglements, nor can we predict how he will help himself with a future tax reform proposal. Find a local march near you and join thousands of other voters to demand answers from President Trump.

WHAT’S TRENDING

Is Trump at Mar-a-Lago? A question we find ourselves asking every weekend, since President Trump has spent 7 out of 13 weekends as president at his Mar-a-Lago golf club in Palm Beach, Florida. Each trip to Mar-a-Lago costs approximately $3.6 million—meaning Trump has already spent $25 million in taxpayer money on his vacations. With that money, we could fund a lot of things that Trump has put on the chopping block, like Meals on Wheels, Pell Grants, and more. Check out IsTrumpAtMarALago.org for more.

Mother of All Bombs. In less than 100 days in office Trump is already escalating tensions around the world. Days after launching 59 missiles into a Syrian airfield, the commander-in-chief defended the dropping of the largest non-nuclear bomb (ever) on Afghanistan.

San Francisco. It’s home to a landmark federal court challenge to President Trump’s January 25 order which, among other things, targets so-called “sanctuary jurisdictions”. Over 600 cities and counties across the country stand to benefit if the court grants a nation-wide injunction halting the executive order, so stay tuned for a decision in the coming weeks.

ACTION OF THE DAY

#FreeMaribel. The Trump Administration wants you to believe that its ramped-up immigration enforcement policy exclusively targets criminals. Time and time again, that’s been proven untrue. Take the latest case of Maribel Trujillo, a law-abiding immigrant mother of four U.S. citizen children that’s scheduled to be deported to Mexico next week. Concerned? You can take action and call on DHS to #FreeMaribel.

UNDER THE RADAR

Trump’s latest attack on women’s health. According to reports, Trump signed legislation that rescinded an Obama-era rule on Title X which sought to increase women’s access to health care by preventing state and local governments from withholding federal funding to provides that offered family planning and sexual health services.
