Trump’s trade-war-by-tweet

It’s another day in Trump’s America—and another day to stand up for what’s right. Get the facts to fight back.

“It’s impossible to overstate the damage.”

Trump’s erratic trade-war-by-tweet had serious consequences today, sending soybean stocks into a tailspin.

But his irresponsible behavior isn’t just hurting the stock market. Farmers across the country are paying the price, like Les from Wisconsin.

The obstruction continues

Today, more than 370 former prosecutors released a statement with their unambiguous interpretation of the Mueller report: were it not for Department of Justice rules preventing the indictment of a sitting president, the evidence would “result in multiple felony charges for obstruction of justice.”

The letter echoes many of the arguments made by the Moscow Project and others that the Mueller report was, in essence, an impeachment referral.

No wonder Trump and Barr are trying so hard to prevent the truth coming out:

  • Attorney General Barr failed to release the unredacted Mueller report and its underlying evidence today, despite a congressional deadline. The House Judiciary Committee will vote to hold him in contempt on Wednesday.
  • Mueller is in talks with the House Judiciary Committee to testify publicly in the coming weeks, but Trump has reversed course and is now railing against the possibility of the special counsel testifying.
  • Treasury Secretary Mnuchin is also hours away from failing to release Trump’s tax returns—despite another congressional deadline—violating the law by instructing the IRS to keep the returns secret.
  • Congress has sent Trump more than 35 document requests. Zero have been fully complied with.
