Our voting rights are under attack
The right to vote is a fundamental right in the United States. Yet, our voting rights are under attack every single day under the Trump administration—especially for people of color.
Just last year, the Supreme Court, packed with two ultra-conservative Trump appointees, gave states the green light to purge voters from the rolls. Now, from voter suppression that targets communities of color to partisan gerrymandering, we’re witnessing a full-fledged attack on voting rights across the country.
As Helen Butler, a longtime voting rights advocate and executive director of the Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda, told us: “Your vote is power. If you truly believe in democracy, then you should care about this issue.”
