Danny Bernal is the senior director of major gifts at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, he was the Northeast finance director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). There, he led high-dollar fundraising operations in nine states, raising $50 million for House Democrats across two election cycles. Prior to the DCCC, Bernal served in various finance roles on Sen. Jacky Rosen’s (D-NV) 2018 campaign and at EMILY’s List.

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Bernal grew up in South Florida and earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Florida.

Outside of work, Bernal enjoys travel; live music; and going on hikes with his dog, Boobah.
