CAP Action and the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence release report highlighting Cuccinelli’s record on firearms and call on E.W. Jackson to come clean on background checks at lieutenant governor debate
Fairfax, VA — On Tuesday evening, the Center for American Progress Action Fund and the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence will be holding a press conference and vigil outside George Mason University’s Founders Hall Auditorium, calling on Republican Lt. Gov. candidate E.W. Jackson to release his Virginia Citizens Defense League survey, for which he received a “very pro-gun” rating, and come clean regarding his stance on guns, especially legislation requiring background checks for all firearm sales in Virginia.
At the press conference, speakers will present findings from a new CAP Action report highlighting Republican candidate for governor Ken Cuccinelli’s and his caucus’s extreme record against public safety measures in Virginia.
