ADVISORY: CAP Action President Neera Tanden to Join Senators, USW to Unveil ‘Trump Outsource Watch’

Jobs numbers from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics do not track the number of American jobs shipped overseas; new effort will seek to hold Trump administration accountable for his promises to American workers.

CAP Action President Neera Tanden will join senators and the United Steelworkers to tell President-elect Trump to keep his pledge to American workers and prevent outsourcing.

Washington, D.C. — Today at 12:30 p.m. in SVC-200 at the Capitol Visitor Center, Center for American Progress Action Fund President Neera Tanden will join Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI), and United Steelworkers President Leo Gerard to unveil “Trump Outsource Watch,” a new effort to prevent jobs from going overseas and to hold President-elect Donald Trump accountable next year for his promises to protect American workers. Trump Outsource Watch will track how many jobs are getting shipped overseas under President Trump’s watch.
