ADVISORY: Earth Day Preview – The Three Presidential Candidates’ Environmental Records

Teleconference on Monday, April 21 at 11:30 AM

Please join the Center for American Progress Action Fund and the League of Conservation Voters for a special teleconference:

Tuesday, April 22, is the 38th Earth Day. Energy, global warming, and environmental protection will be major issues during the 2008 election campaign. Recent polls determined that voters believe that energy is the third most important issue after the economy and the Iraq war. The public’s desire to know about the presidential candidates’ records and positions is higher this year than ever before.

Polling data is available at: http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/pdf/Mar08c-economy.pdf http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/WSJ-20080312-poll.pdf

On the eve of Earth Day this election year, please join two experts in the field of energy and environmental policy and politics.

WHAT: A teleconference to provide information about the records and policies of the three remaining major party candidates. We will also highlight key energy and environmental issues.
