ADVISORY: Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand on Women’s Economic Security

Washington, D.C. — On Friday, September 27, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) will deliver remarks on the importance of improving the lives of families by strengthening the workplace with policies that ensure paid family medical leave, equal pay, and access to quality, affordable child care. Sen. Gillibrand will announce her “Opportunity Plan: New Rules for the New Economy,” which includes a number of policies aimed at allowing women to achieve their full potential for themselves and their families.

Following the senator’s remarks, a panel of business and advocacy leaders will discuss how elected officials, advocates, and the business community can work together to strengthen the economy by unlocking the full potential of women and their families.
