ADVISORY: Voting Rights Experts and Florida Voter to Discuss New Report on Florida’s Worst Election Offenders

Washington, D.C. – On Monday, December 9, the Center for American Progress Action Fund will host a press call to release a new report that ranks the best and worst counties in Florida for voting accessibility across nine different factors.

On the call, CAP Action President Tom Perriello, author of the new report Joshua Field, and Florida voter Sonya Gibson will discuss the findings from the new county-by-county analysis, examine why it’s harder for a voter in Columbia County to participate in the democratic process than it is for a voter registered in St. Johns County, and unpack the real implications of these disparities.  The speakers will also discuss how the data was crunched, the different factors that were taken into account to get to these rankings, and the impact that voter access has on voters and elections.
