ADVISORY: Voting Rights Experts and to Discuss New Report on Georgia’s Best and Worst Counties for Voting Access

Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, January 16, the Center for American Progress Action Fund will host a press call to release a new report that ranks the best and worst counties in Georgia for voting accessibility across six different factors.

The speakers will discuss the findings from the new county-by-county analysis, examine why it’s easier for a voter from Oconee County to participate in the democratic process than for a voter registered in Dooly County, and unpack the real implications of these disparities. The speakers will also discuss how the data were crunched, the different factors that were taken into account to get to these rankings, and the impact that voter access has on voters and elections.
