AVAILABLE FOR COMMENT: CAP Action’s Vanessa Cardenas on Today’s Romney Speech Targeted at Latinos
Washington, D.C. — U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney today will deliver a speech to a Latino small business group in D.C., seeking to appeal to Hispanic voters highlighting the U.S. economy as the main issue at hand for this key voting bloc. In addition, Romney plans to outline his education platform, crucially important for Latinos, after months of failing to speak on the topic in depth. It will be hard for Romney to get support among Latinos as his policies have taken the wrong track as he plans to cut programs vital to the Latino community.
The following CAP Action experts will be available to comment:
- Vanessa Cardenas, Director of 2050 Action
- Cynthia G. Brown, Vice President for Education Policy
